Israel Stocks Close Higher: TA 35 Gains 0.55%

Israeli equities ended the trading session on a positive note on Sunday, driven by strong performances in key sectors including insurance, communication, and oil & gas, which propelled the broader market upward.

The benchmark TA 35 index climbed 0.55%, achieving a fresh all-time high at the close in Tel Aviv.

Among the top performers on the TA 35, Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd surged 5.10%, equivalent to 33.90 points, closing at 698.00. Nova followed with a 4.50% increase, adding 4,570.00 points to finish at 106,100.00, while Elbit Systems Ltd advanced 2.63% or 4,600.00 points to reach 179,300.00.

On the downside, NICE Ltd declined 1.21%, shedding 430.00 points to end at 35,100.00. Leumi dropped 1.10% or 80.00 points to 7,220.00, and Mizrahi Tefahot fell 1.05% or 250.00 points to 23,610.00.

Overall market breadth was positive on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, with 249 stocks advancing compared to 216 decliners, and 83 remaining unchanged.

Notably, shares of Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd reached 5-year highs after gaining 5.10% to 698.00, while Elbit Systems Ltd touched all-time highs with its 2.63% rise to 179,300.00.

In related commodity markets, February crude oil delivery rose 0.93% or 0.52 to 56.52 per barrel. Brent oil for February increased 1.09% or 0.65 to 60.47 per barrel, and February gold futures gained 0.52% or 22.80 to 4,387.30 per troy ounce.

Currency movements saw USD/ILS decrease 0.31% to 3.20, and EUR/ILS dip 0.41% to 3.75. The US Dollar Index Futures edged up 0.16% to 98.25.
